Despite all the statistics and talk about divorce in our country, the full impact of divorce on families, and kids in particular, is still a relatively new field of study. If one reads the various studies, one will see that they include small groups of kids (less than one hundred families per study) and most of the kids of these studies are not involved in a support program. Is it no wonder then that parents in the middle of the legal dissolution of their marriage, bewildered, angered and confused, fail to recognize and understand how their kids feel about the divorce and its effects on them?
